Jute
My jute ropes are ready to use out of the packet. All the ropes that I make are suitable for vegans, I do not supply or use beeswax in my rope treatment.
If you wish to burn off any remaining 'fuzzies' on the rope you can do so (at your own risk!) using a blue flame. However, please note that this will darken the rope colour and can leave a smoky smell. Care must be taken not to damage the ropes when doing so!
Ropes naturally become softer with time, and some people like to let their rope condition naturally by picking up the body oil present in the skin of the people they tie; others like to use oil or wax to treat rope. Jojoba oil is, in my experience, the best of both worlds, being a natural product that is a wax at low temperatures and liquid at higher temperatures.
All ropes are finished with traditional overhand knots.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
30-degree hand wash, and air dry - do not tumble dry.
Please note that frequent washing will decrease its lifespan.

Hemp
This rope has far less fuzzies than jute rope and doesn't require waxing. If you need to wash this rope, do so at a low temperature to ensure you don't wash out the colour. Please note colours may run and washing rope is done at your own risk. This rope can be tumble-dried and does not require drying under tension.
Please note as with all fibres some people are allergic to hemp please always check with the person you are tying.
