Throughout my shibari and rope-making career, I've tried and tested many different types of shibari ropes, some I had allergic reactions too, some smelled like a goats, and some where amazing!

If you don't want to waste your money, then keep reading because here you will learn which ropes are best for bondage, and which should stick to tieing up boats.

    These are used for finishing of ties that might only need a small piece.

    Used primarily for Western style bondage, not generally reccomended due to safety reasons (time to untie).

👉 Beginner Setup: 2–3 ropes at 7–8 meters.

    Raw:Needs breaking in but customisable

* Becuase bamboo rope is not used for suspension, in practise it is more long lasting than the other ropes, however this is becuase of its use, not its wear resistence.

This is the Traditional Shibari Rope that many professionals use, its lightweight, low stretch.
